ART IN THE PARK - Last Sunday of each month
Scheduled on the last Sunday of every month, Art in the Park features displays, demonstrations and sales of wonderful artworks by some of WA's finest artists in various media.
ROSE PRUNING DEMONSTRATIONS
On Sunday 12 July visitors to Araluen Botanic Park will be treated to Rose Pruning Demonstrations and can also obtain free expert advice on growing, pruning and caring for Roses.
Members of the Rose Society of WA are making their annual pilgrimage to Araluen to conduct their excellent informal Rose pruning demonstrations and will be on hand between the hours of 11am to 3pm to provide friendly helpful advice.
TULIPS
Despite the fact that Araluen won't be having it's usual Spring Festival due to parking issues with the City of Armadale we will have plenty of tulips in bloom.
The best time to view the tulips plus all the other spring flowering bulbs will be mid August to late September.

Volunteers are an integral part of Araluen. We are indeed fortunate to have a great team of talented and dedicated volunteers who perform many valuable services in the Park.
Gardening Join this dedicated group we call the 'Wednesday Wonders'. They meet each Wednesday to garden, talk and enjoy a great morning tea.
The Roundhouse Gift Shop During 'Its Yates Springtime at Araluen' (August/September) the Roundhouse Gift Shop is open seven days a week and our great team of volunteers step in on a roster system to look after the needs of the many Park visitors.
This friendly face of the Park not only helps visitors with purchasing items from our extensive range of local crafts and homewares but also becomes an information centre for local and overseas people.
The Roundhouse Gift Shop is a valuable asset to the Park both financially and importantly as an information centre and volunteers play a major role in its success.
Bus Driving Our courtesy bus services operates during 'Its Yates Springtime at Araluen'. This valuable community services operates to and from the Kelmscott Railway Station enabling people who are unable to access private transport to visit the Park.
To help us continue this special service we need drivers with HL license for a few hours a day once a week or whenever you have spare time.
Train Driver Do you hold a current license, enjoy meeting people, had a life long desire to be a train driver and have a few spare hours? Then we have the perfect solution for you.
Why not become and Araluen volunteer train driver and bring joy to the many Park visitors who look forward to viewing the Park from the window of the train.

ARALUEN VALLEY OF DREAMS
The book is the first publication of its kind for Araluen and marks an important chapter in the Park's evolution.
The author, Cyril Ayris, is a highly respected writer who gained solid credentials as a journalist for the West Australian Newspapers.
"Valley of Dreams" is a delightful easy read that is filled with stunning past and present images of the Park.
The book is a pictorial history of the Park and can be purchased from the Roundhouse Gift Shop or the Administration Office for $9.95.
"ARALUEN" CD
Visitors to the Park have fallen in love with Robert J Boyd's unique keyboard music, which fits beautifully with the ambience of Araluen.
The CD features composition especially dedicated to Araluen and infused with birds and other natural sounds actually recorded in the Park.
The CD can be purchased from the Roundhouse Gift Shop or the Administration Office for $30.00.
ELECTRIC SCOOTERS/WHEELCHAIRS
Electric scooters ($5.00 per 2 hour hire) and wheelchairs (free of charge) are available for those with mobility restrictions. A bond of $10.00 is required for the hire of scooters and wheelchairs.
